PITTSBURGH — Wednesday will bring a break between systems with dry weather for that walk around the block or trip to the grocery store. Keep the umbrella close though, as rain returns early Thursday.
Rain could be steady as the morning commute begins Thursday, possibly creating ponding on roadways and a slow morning commute.
A second round of showers will develop mid morning through the afternoon with strong winds. Gusts of 30 mph to 40 mph at times could blow outdoor items around your house and bring down branches.
Temperatures will also be making weather headlines Thursday, as highs jump well above average near 60.
