Temperatures drop to mid-20s Sunday night, highs could reach 50s during early work week

PITTSBURGH — The weather will be chilly Sunday this evening, so grab a winter coat and warm layers if you are heading out to view holiday lights. Temperatures will tumble to the mid-20s Sunday night for another cold start Monday morning.

Clouds will mix with sun Monday, and it won’t be as chilly. Highs will reach the upper 40s. Look for a slight warming trend into the middle part of the week. Highs will be back up into the 50s Tuesday and Wednesday, but cooler air will follow for Thursday and Friday. Along with the roller coaster temperatures, this week will feature several systems that will bring us unsettled weather, with daily chances of rain Tuesday through Friday.
