Arctic chill settles in for Friday with threat of snow shower bands

PITTSBURGH — If you’re heading out Thursday night, pack on the layers as temperatures will hang around the 20 degree mark with wind chills dipping into the single digits.

The arctic chill will keep a few snow showers in the area Friday along with wind chills in the single digits. Bands of snow showers could quickly coat roads and sidewalks so watch for icy spots.

Saturday will be the best chance to get outdoors. Winds will be lighter and we should see some sunshine through the day, making it perfect for skiing or a hike on the trails.
