Juvenile dead after shooting in Ambridge; SWAT called after suspects flee

AMBRIDGE, Pa. — A boy is dead after a shooting in Ambridge.

Beaver County dispatchers say emergency crews were originally called to a scene at the intersection of 11th Street and Kennedy Drive at around 6:41 p.m. on Sunday.

The Ambridge Police Department said they found the boy unresponsive in the middle of Church Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Some nearby citizens chased two males who were believed to be the shooters and notified the police. One of the suspected shooters was observed entering an apartment building on Olive Lane.

SWAT was called to extract the suspect from the building.

The victim’s name and exact age have not been released at this time.
