A hawk rescued from a tree in Butler County in November has been released back into the wild after a few weeks of recovery.

Members of the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company were called to rescue a hawk tangled in a kite string stuck in a tree on Nov. 30.
The Pennsylvania Game Commission took the bird to a rehab facility after it was rescued.
The hawk was released back into the wild today. It was let free at the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company station. They shared a video of the release with Channel 11.
The release was originally scheduled to happen a week ago but it was pushed back due to weather delays.
