Man, woman shot, killed inside home in Scott Township; suspect found dead in West Virginia

SCOTT TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man and woman were found shot to death in a home in Scott Township overnight.

Allegheny County Police say they were called to a home in the 1300 block of Great Oak Drive just before 3 a.m. Monday for a reported shooting.

When police arrived, they found a man and a woman who had been shot. They both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The two victims were later identified as Christy Reeves, 50, and William Rabatin, 53.

Detectives determined the shooting was domestic and identified the suspect as 50-year-old Dennis Rahuba.

“We learned that the female victim and the male suspect were involved in a long-term relationship and that relationship was coming to a close and the female victim and male victim started a new relationship,” said Lt. Venerando Costa with Allegheny County Police.

Rahuba called both his sons after committing the crimes and they both called 911, according to police.
