Tory Verdi hires LaKale Malone as Pitt women’s basketball assistant coach

PITTSBURGH — Head coach Tory Verdi has made an addition to his coaching staff at Pitt with the hiring of LaKale Malone as an assistant coach.

Malone has over 20 years of coaching experience, including stops at Indiana State, Illinois, Texas, Nebraska, Wagner and Bradley.

Verdi announced that Malone will be primarily working with the Pitt guards, an area in which she’s enjoyed much success during her coaching career working with players such as Bella Finnegan, Del’Janae Williams, Natalia Lalic, Chatrice White, Cierra Rice, Kyley Simmons, Brandi Beasley, Brittainey Raven and Chassidy Fussell.
