PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh leaders and UPMC are teaming up to teach everyone in the city life-saving skills.
The initiative is called “Minutes Matter,” and its goal is to teach people basic emergency skills – such as performing chest compressions or using a tourniquet.
“We travel, we move. Steeler Nation goes across county and world, and the reality is no matter where you go if there's an emergency, you're gonna want a city of Pittsburgh resident standing next to you when that hits,” said Daniel Gilman, the mayor’s chief of staff.
There are also several in-person trainings scheduled for this weekend. To find out more, click here.
