A picture brain teaser being called "fruit algebra" is being shared heavily on Facebook.
BuzzFeed reported Wednesday that the original creator is unknown, but it has been shared hundreds of thousands of times since late last year.
The image features fruit as terms in a math equation.
In the first row, three apples are added, giving the sum of 30.
In the second row, one apple and two banana bunches with four bananas in each add up to a sum of 18.
In the third row, two coconut halves are subtracted from one banana bunch with four bananas, making a difference of two.
The fourth row has one coconut half added to one apple, plus a banana bunch with three bananas in it.
The question is, what is the result of the third equation?
Some comments in a popular Facebook post of the image have answers that include 16, 15 and 14.
Take a look at the image for yourself below. Do you know the answer?

Let's work it out:
The first line has three apples adding up to 30, so the apples are most likely each worth 10.
In the second line, one apple is added to two sets of bananas for 18. The banana sets are each worth four.
Next, you subtract a pair of coconut halves from a banana set and get two. That means the coconut halves are worth two.
The answer seems to be 16 -- but wait!
There is only one coconut half, so that likely equals one.
Is the answer 15? Probably not!
Look closely, there are only three bananas in the set instead of four. It's likely the bananas would equal three.
That makes the last line 1 + 10 + 3= 14!
Unfortunately, there is no official answer according to BuzzFeed because the picture was separated from its original context.
