The Western Pennsylvania chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has named Pittsburgh's 50 Finest for 2012.
Pittsburgh’s 50 Finest honors Pittsburgh's most eligible men and women for their activity in the community and success in their careers.
The tradition is now in its 17th year. The 2011 class of honorees raised an impressive $250,000 for the foundation, and the bar has been set even higher for the class of 2012.

Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disease that affects approximately 30,000 young people in the United States, taking the lives of many of those afflicted before the age of 37. CF produces a thick, sticky mucus that clogs the lungs & digestive system, making breathing and digestion difficult & eventually impossible. The CF Foundation is consistently ranked by the Wall Street Journal’s Smart Money magazine as one of the nation’s “Best in the Business” for its exceptionally efficient use of fund-raising dollars. The Foundation is a donor-supported, nonprofit organization committed to finding therapies and ultimately a cure for cystic fibrosis, and to improving the lives of those with the disease.
