Back to the Foodture ready to expand second restaurant to prominent Fifth Avenue location in Uptown

After bringing their “over-the-top” menu of more than a 100 flavors of wings to a new restaurant at the SouthSide Works a little more than a year ago, Angel Magwood and Eddie Barnz are poised to open their next Back to the Foodture location in Uptown this summer.

The couple has leased the former space of Buford’s and before it, the Blue Line Grill at 1014 Fifth Ave. and are shooting to open a second Back to the Foodture restaurant in the 6,300-square-foot space in July.

It’s a much larger space than the restaurant at SouthSide Works, which has been better positioned to serve a pandemic-oriented take out clientele.

With 6,300 square feet on more than one level, Magwood and Barnz plan to offer a broader menu as well as to expand their pop culture approach to include plenty of games, such as pool tables, air hockey tables, dart boards and pinball machines.
