PITTSBURGH — Bradley’s Book Outlet  is poised to end its 27-year run as a bricks-and-mortar retailer.

The locally based book seller, long active as both a wholesaler and retailer, is closing down its eight remaining retail store locations as the pandemic has largely diminished the business potential of keeping them open.

While the company is based in Pittsburgh, the closings immediately impact two stores in the direct metropolitan area at Pittsburgh Mills and at the Grove City Premium Outlets. The other six stores are beyond the five-county metro to cover a larger territory of western Pennsylvania, with stores in outlying malls in Uniontown, Indiana, outside Altoona, Dubois, in Cranberry Township, Venango County as well as in the Nittany Mall near State College.
