PITTSBURGH — Just over two dozen Pittsburgh-area companies have ranked among the fastest-growing in the nation, according to business publication Inc., which debuted its Inc. 5000 list of the Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America for 2022 on Tuesday.
Inc. placed a total of 25 companies found throughout the Pittsburgh metro on this year’s list, 17 of which are repeat honorees and two are newly founded, Inc. said. The figure is down from the 28 Pittsburgh companies that placed in 2020 as well as from the 29 that placed in 2019.
To be considered for the annual rankings, Inc. examined the revenue growth of these for-profit companies over the prior three years and required that these companies generated revenue of at least $100,000 in 2018. These privately-held and independently-owned companies must also have at least $2 million in revenue as of 2020.
