PITTSBURGH — To flip a phrase, one door’s closing because another opened. F.N.B. Corp. confirmed on Monday that its branch at 74 Allegheny River Boulevard in Verona is closing and operations will be relocated to its new Oakmont office at 300 College Avenue, just over a mile away.

“The branch is ideally situated to serve residents and businesses in Oakmont while also adding convenience for our customers in nearby communities,” Jennifer Reel, F.N.B. senior vice president and director of corporate communications, said via email.

She described the Oakmont office as a full-service technology branch designed to facilitate a convenient and consultative banking experience for consumers and businesses. It features F.N.B.’s interactive eStore and touchscreens to help customers learn more about products and services, as well as an ATM with TellerChat, or interactive ATM, which allows clients to use video chat technology to conduct transactions with a teller during extended hours, including into the evening and weekends, plus drive-thru services.
