PITTSBURGH — As it works to move its food hall operation from the Strip District to Penn Avenue, Galley Group now has a set menu of restaurants to open in its new Galley Bakery Square.

The company introduced the four operators slated for the new food hall at Bakery Square, which will open in the new “refresh” redevelopment in the heart of the mixed-use master plan.

They are: GG’s Cafe, Somi, City Fresh Pasta and Bubba’s, offering a broad mix of dining options to the nearby office workers and visitors to Bakery Square, at which a new office building is soon expected to open occupied by the new regional headquarters of Philips.

GG’s Cafe is called “a new take on classic comfort foods” by owners Meredith and Christine Galloway, who grew up in the neighborhood. The restaurant’s menu is anchored by roasted chicken and ribs along with a host of other items.
