PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh’s biggest bank is among the investors in a $40 million Series A funding round by Greenwood, an Atlanta-based digital banking platform serving Black and Latino business owners and individuals nationwide.
PNC Financial Services Group Inc., along with JPMorgan Chase & Co., Bank of America Corp., Wells Fargo & Co. and Truist Financial Corp, as well as credit card giants Visa and Mastercard and venture capitalists were among the investors.
The size of PNC’s (NYSE:PNC) investment was not disclosed. The round was led by Truist Ventures, a division of Truist Financial Corp.
