PITTSBURGH — Sarris Candies, a chocolate-making institution in Washington County for more than 60 years, announced a major expansion as the family owned business continues to grow beyond the modest shop out of which it started.
The company announced it has bought a 130,000-square-foot industrial building at 135 Meadow Lane in Canonsburg in which it has established what it calls a “new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility” to make and package Sarris Chocolates. The new, larger facility is also expected to enable Sarris to grow its private label business as well.
