These two locals made Forbes’ new ranking of the world’s billionaires

PITTSBURGH — Who would have expected at the start of the pandemic that the world would wind up with a record number, or 2,755, billionaires?

That’s rich, on multiple levels. The total was up 660 from 2020.

Forbes released its annual list of billionaires on Tuesday, led by Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon.com, for the fourth straight year, with a net worth of $177 billion.

Two locals, Maggie Hardy Knox, and Thomas Tull, made the list, which is in real-time, meaning that it tracks the daily ups and downs.
