Hillary Clinton makes campaign stop at Primanti Bros. in Market Square

PITTSBURGH — Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton made a stop in Pittsburgh Friday before heading to the Scranton-area for a rally at Dunmore High School.

Clinton paid a visit to the Primanti Brothers restaurant in Market Square around 4 p.m.

As she enjoyed a sandwich at the popular Pittsburgh restaurant, Clinton spoke with supporters about her plans as president to raise incomes for families, fight for equal pay for women and break down the barriers that hold Pennsylvanians back.%

“I'm a union worker (and) she says that she will fight so that people have the right to organize, to not be threatened, to have a living wage, to be able to have affordable health care. Something has to be done with the health care in this country,” one of Clinton’s supporters told Channel 11 News.

Voters said Clinton also spoke about other issues, including education, minimum wage and the struggles facing middle class families.

Meanwhile, Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders campaigned on the other side of the state Friday.

He stopped at a community center in Philadelphia for a faith and moral economy breakfast Friday morning. About 200 people listened as the senator touched on a number of issues, but he emphasized his urban policy and his position on criminal justice.

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz will be in the Pittsburgh area Saturday. He’s holding an event at Gateway High School in Monroeville that is set to start at 10 a.m.

Republican presidential candidate John Kasich,

, will return to the Pittsburgh area next Monday.

The McKees Rocks native will hold an event at Montour High School in Robinson Township. Doors open at 6 p.m. Monday. The event is set to get underway at 7 p.m.

Pennsylvania’s primary is next Tuesday.
