PITTSBURGH — A teacher at Pittsburgh’s Westinghouse High School is under investigation after video surfaced allegedly showing him throwing a chair inside a classroom.
Target 11 Investigator Rick Earle confirmed the investigation Tuesday after obtaining two different videos of the incident.

According to reports, the teacher was upset that students were throwing things.
Pittsburgh Public Schools Public Information Officer Ebony Pugh sent Channel 11 News the following statement:
"A Pittsburgh Westinghouse teacher was sent home Tuesday after reports that he threw a chair in a classroom. According to reports, students were throwing food. The teacher apparently lost his temper and threw the chair. The teacher was sent home with pay."
Pugh said Wednesday that the teacher was placed on paid administrative leave, pending the outcome of the investigation.
