Investigators looking at Wayne Township trailer fire

Investigators are looking into the cause a fire in Wayne Township that place early Tuesday morning.

Hours after the fire, homeowner Martha Uber can’t believe that she, her elderly mother and aunt made it out alive.%

“I looked out the window and I saw an orange glow,” Uber said. “Everybody got out of the house and we moved pretty quickly.”

After discovering the blaze around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, Uber called 011.

“I heard a noise I didn’t recognize. That’s strange out here in the country,” Uber said.

The trailer has been on the property for years and the family stores items in it.

There are no hydrants along the Wayne Township Road so water had to be trucked in.

The family has living in the location for over 25 years.

“We lost a lot of stuff, but at least we made it out alive,” Uber said.

Police are investigating.
