Lawrence County Businessman Accused Of Sexual Assault

ELLWOOD CITY, Pa.,None — A well-known Lawrence County businessman is being accused of sexual assault.

Harold Marshall, the director of Marshall's Funeral Home in Ellwood City and former president of the Ellwood City Chamber of Commerce, is the suspect.

Police said a woman sleeping in a home next to the funeral home woke up Saturday morning with Marshall on top of her.

Marshall walked into the home to tell the woman's boyfriend that the interior light was on in his car, police said.

When the boyfriend was outside, he entered the woman's bedroom, police said.

Pam Kaldy said Marshall has always been a good neighbor.

"He's always been a great guy and a good neighbor," Kaldy said. "He'd help you with anything."

Ellwood City Mayor Anthony Court expressed his feelings on the situation.

"It is a very sad situation if these allegations are true," Court said. "Sad for everyone involved."

Marshall has been released on bail, but is due back in court next week.
