UPPER ST. CLAIR, Pa.,None — A bolt of lightning hit the steeple at a church in Upper St. Clair on Monday.
The lightning also blew out the windows at the Westminster Presbyterian Church on Washington Road.
A blue tarp has since been used to keep rain out and prevent any more damage.
Officials at the church said they were already working on the steeple and the strike will set them back a couple of weeks. The damage, however, will not affect Sunday services.
There was no one in the church when the strike happened, authorities said.
