The Allegheny County Medical Examiner confirmed that he was called to the hospital for one person who died as a result of the accident. The victim was identified as Heather Djan from New Jersey.
Channel 11 spoke to Djan’s father over the phone. He said she moved to Pittsburgh from New Jersey four short months ago. He did not know who his daugher was with at the time of the crash.
Michael Herring saw the crash and called 911.
"I was at the intersection at Penn and Negley and this car passed me on the left on the double yellow line and was driving about as fast as that car would possibly drive."
The injured person’s name and condition wasn’t released.
There was no immediate word as to what may have led to the crash.
Police are investigating.
