• 10 arrests made after police discover alcohol, drugs at Mt. Lebanon party


    MOUNT LEBANON, Pa. - Police arrested 10 individuals after discovering alcohol and drugs at a house party in Mount Lebanon on Saturday night.

    Inside the Sleepy Hollow Road home, officers said they found dozens of empty beer cans, drug paraphernalia, and teens hiding under clothes in a closet.

    "They found several underage people that appeared to be have consumed alcoholic beverages and found several open containers of alcohol, as well as various drugs and drug paraphernalia,” said Mt. Lebanon police Lt. Aaron Lauth.

    Nine teenagers were charged with underage drinking and 49-year-old Lawrence Bielawski faces charges of providing alcohol to minors and endangering the welfare of children. Officers said they found Bielawski passed out in a bed after entering the house.

    Lauth said the officers found a beer pong table, two glass bongs and birthday cake flavored smoking papers inside the house.

    "We did have a couple of the occupants upon the officers knocking on the front door decide it was their best option to run out the back door,” Lauth said. “We did have officers on the back side of the house that were able to confront them and take them into custody.”

    Lauth said one of the teens tried to fight with officers as he was caught.

    Channel 11's Alan Jennings unsuccessfully tried to contact Bielawski for comment on Thursday.
