• Accident on Interstate 79 north causes major traffic backup

    MARSHALL TOWNSHIP, Pa. - An accident on Interstate 79 north in Marshall Township caused a major traffic backup Thursday afternoon.

    Several vehicles were involved in the accident.

    No injuries were reported.

    Traffic was backed up for several miles after the accident.

    All lanes reopened at 5 p.m. but traffic was still slow going.

    Officials urged caution in the area, as vehicles were on the shoulder on the interstate.
