ALLEGHENY COUNTY, Pa. — Allegheny County Police are asking for help finding a homicide suspect.
Eugene Cooper, 43, of Plum, is wanted in connection with a deadly shooting that happened outside H’s Bar and Grill in the 4200 block of Verona Road in Penn Hills on Aug. 6.
Police say the victim, Ronel Jones, 46, was shot multiple times outside the bar’s entrance. He died, despite medics’ efforts to save his life.
Jones was working security at the bar when he was shot.

Charges were filed against Cooper on Aug. 10, after investigators spoke with witnesses and reviewed surveillance video. Police have been working to find him ever since.
Cooper is 6 feet tall and weighs around 280 pounds. He is considered armed and dangerous; anyone who sees him is urged not to approach him.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or to contact the Allegheny County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Calls can be made anonymously.
According to court documents, people were inside the bar at the time of the shooting and a bullet went through the building and hit a video gaming machine.
Police said the bar surveillance cameras showed a Silverado truck hit Jones’ Honda CR-V in the bar’s parking lot. The driver of the truck was later involved in an altercation with Jones, with cameras later capturing him shooting Jones too.
Officers first identified Cooper as a suspect after learning he was the registered owner of the Silverado. They said his features shown on his driver’s license and previous arrest information were consistent with the features of the man seen shooting Jones in the video.
A Pittsburgh Police officer who arrested Cooper in August last year was also able to positively identify him.
Investigators note that Cooper pleaded guilty to charges related to illegal gun possession, drugs, and recklessly endangering another person in 2003 and 2004.
