PITTSBURGH — The University of Pittsburgh is requiring tickets at commencement this year, and there is a limited number of tickets available for each graduate.
According to a statement posted on the university’s website, the requirement is necessary because of the number of graduates who will be attending commencement.
Monday, each graduate received four free tickets.
Tickets are allowed to be transferred between students, however, additional tickets will not be available for purchase.
The university said if capacity is reached at the Petersen Events Center, overflow viewing areas will be established.
