PITTSBURGH — Months after a man was found shot to death in Pittsburgh, police have made an arrest in the case.
Authorities tell Channel 11 News that Ronald Steave is charged in the beating and shooting death of Devin Jackson.
“Due to the fact that we knew he was highly dangerous, we sent our fugitive task force warrant squad after him,” said Pittsburgh Police Cmdr. RaShall Brackney.
Police believe Steave and another suspect came to a home on North Murtland Avenue and found Jackson in a sexual act with a 16-year-old girl. Police say Jackson was beaten before he collapsed on the floor and was shot.
According to the criminal complaint, detectives believe Jackson was dragged from a home after he had been shot three times and put face down in a vacant lot.
“As you know, we’re still looking for Mark Coleman. He is from the Wilkinsburg area. He’s 19 years old and also known to frequent the Homewood area,” Brackney said.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information on Coleman’s whereabouts is asked to contact police.
