Authorities investigating Georges Twp. murder-suicide

GEORGES TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police are investigating after a man shot and killed a woman in Georges Township, Fayette County, on Saturday before turning the gun on himself.

According to authorities, James Dice Jr., 29, of Smithfield, fatally shot Leah Fields, 19, of Smithfield, in the area of Clark Road. Dice later fatally shot himself, police said.

The shooting is believed to have happened between 3 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.
