PITTSBURGH — A benefit for 14-year-old shooting victim Kelvin Lovelace was held Wednesday as police continue to search for the gunman.
"It's sad, but I've got three other children that I've got to hold myself together for,” said Lovelace’s mother, LaShaun King.

King put on a brave face as she watched a community performance dedicated to her 14-year-old son.
Lovelace was shot and killed early Sunday morning outside an East Hills housing complex, where he was spending the night with a friend.
“He was a loving, outgoing kid who was well respected,” said King.
A crowd of more than 200 people were outside when the shooting took place.
According to Channel 11's news partners at TribLIVE, Lovelace was an innocent bystander.
King told TribLIVE that investigators believe the shooter was aiming for someone else.
Three days have passed without any arrests or any information on a possible suspect. King said she’s drained.
However, the frustration and hardship continue as the family struggles to cover the funeral costs.
All proceeds from Wednesday’s benefit at the Father Ryan Arts Center in McKees Rocks will go to the family.
"Without all this support, I don't know where I would be,” King said.
