Bullied bus monitor to launch anti-bullying foundation

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A bus monitor who was bullied by students is now using her experiences to make a difference for other victims of bullying.

In June, a video went viral of students bullying Karen Klein, 68, of Rochester, N.Y., People from around the world responded by donating more than $700,000 to Klein.

Klein said she’s using part of the money to launch an anti-bullying foundation.

“This is going to be for education for people that have been bullied. For people that just, for people that need it for this situation,” Klein said.

Klein hasn’t finalized the details of her foundation yet, but said she hopes to make a formal announcement by the end of the month.
