None — BUTLER COUNTY, Pa. -- Butler Township police said a car that crossed the center line narrowly missed a patrol officer before crashing inches away from his cruiser.
Butler Township police said a patrol officer was narrowly missed by a car that crossed the center line and crashed just inches away from his cruiser.
Dash cam video captured the accident, showing shattered glass from the car covering the officer's vehicle.
"It was dangerously close. A few more inches and he'd be hit," said Butler Township Police Chief Gary Garmen.
Investigators said the accident happened on Litman Road Friday night. Police said the car flipped three times and landed on its roof.
Police said they think speed and alcohol played a role in the crash.
The driver and a passenger were both hurt. The driver has since been released from the hospital. So far, no charges have been filed.
