Woman injured after car crashes into pole along Becks Run Road

PITTSBURGH — A woman was seriously injured when a car crashed into a pole along a road in Pittsburgh.

The 911 call for the crash in the 600 block of Becks Run Road came in at 1:15 p.m.

Our photographer on the scene saw emergency crews attempting to get the woman out of the vehicle.

She was the only person in the car at the time of the crash, and was trapped under the dashboard.

Officials on scene said it was a difficult process to get her out of the car.

The woman was given blood on scene and appeared to be seriously injured. She was taken to UPMC Mercy.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
