Mother, daughter killed in crash in Plumcreek Township

PLUMCREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A mother and daughter were killed in a crash in Plumcreek Township on Monday.

The crash took place near the intersection of Route 210 and Gastown Road. Armstrong County 911 said the crash happened at around noon.

According to the Indiana County Coroner’s Office, Sonza Lee Marasco was driving with her daughter in the passenger seat when she turned left into the path of another car.

Neither of the victims were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash and they both were ejected from the car.

Marasco’s daughter, identified by Pennsylvania State Police as Lacy Gohn, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene and Marasco died at the hospital.

A 51-year-old woman who was driving the other car was life-flighted from the scene. Her current condition was not released.

State police and both the Armstrong County and Indiana County coroner’s offices are investigating.
