PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Two homes were damaged and two people were taken to the hospital after a 3-alarm fire broke out in Troy Hill on Sunday morning.
The fire started at approximately 5 a.m. in the 1100 block of Goettman Street.

The fire spread to a neighboring house and police evacuated several homes along Goettman and Province Streets.
Both burning structures were occupied.
According to officials, one man was taken to a local hospital with a laceration on his foot. The man had jumped from a second floor window.
A firefighter was also taken to UPMC Mercy with shortness of breath and possible smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
