Dad demands coroner give back slain daughter

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — The parents of a slain 16-year-old West Virginia girl are planning a protest outside the office of a Pennsylvania coroner who won't return or let them see her body.

Star City residents Dave and Mary Neese are frustrated and confused about why Greene County Coroner Gregory Rohanna won't let them see their daughter Skylar.

Dave Neese said Monday that Rohanna reportedly wants to do more tests. But he questions whether Rohanna has the proper facilities in Waynesburg, Pa.

Rachel Shoaf, 16, has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the slaying last July in Wayne Township, Pa. Shoaf admitted planning the murder with another girl who hasn't been identified because her case remains in juvenile court.

Authorities haven’t commented on a possible motive.
