Daughter of Heidelberg fire victim visits charred home

HEIDELBERG, Pa. — The daughter of a woman killed in a Heidelberg house fire visited the charred building on Monday.

Standing in the rain, Rene Walls looked into a home that once held family dinners and birthday parties.

"This is my life.  We grew up here.  We lived here our whole life," said Rene Walls.

Walls lives in Delaware and got word of the blaze from her aunt.

Walls' mother, Mary Patricia Walls, 61, died in fire.  Walls brother, Darren, escaped with the help of a neighbor.

Left in the rubble was Walls' father's watch.  He recently passed away.
