PITTSBURGH — The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will seek the death penalty in the case of a man accused of intentionally setting a McKeesport house fire that killed six people and badly injured the intended target, Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen Zappala announced Tuesday.

Ryan Williams was arrested in January in connection with the October 2014 blaze, which has since been ruled as arson. He is charged with six counts of homicide, arson and burglary.
Investigators said Williams lit a roll of toilet paper on fire and tossed it onto a couch inside the home while Keith Egenlauf, his wife, her four children and his father were inside.
According to police, Keith Egenlauf was Williams' intended target because he believed Keith gave police information that put him in jail on a theft charge.
Keith Egenlauf suffered severe burns to over 55 percent of his body. He was the only survivor of the blaze.
