DONORA, Pa. — Two men are accused of beating a Donora man with a ratchet while he was sleeping early Sunday morning at his home, the Valley Independent reported.
Jedadiah Allen, 36, and Joseph Byers, 34, both of Rostraver, allegedly used a key to get into the home rented by Jeffrey Sickles, according to an affidavit obtained by the Valley Independent. Police were called about 2 a.m.

Sickles suffered multiple head wounds and was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital for treatment, the Valley Independent reported. He was later released.
A woman who rented the home with Sickles told police that Allen is her brother-in-law and the couple's landlord, according to the Valley Independent. She said an argument involving Allen, Byers and Sickles occurred earlier in the day at a picnic.
Allen and Byers are charged with burglary, harassment and disorderly conduct. Allen also faces an aggravated assault charge.
