• Drug bust in Sheetz parking lot leads police to $190K worth of heroin

YOUNGWOOD, Pa. - Authorities seized almost $200,000 worth of heroin after an undercover drug bust at a Youngwood gas station led them to the suspect’s home.

According to police, a confidential informant bought $60 worth of drugs from the suspects, later identified as Warren Jackson and Jerome Poole, in the parking lot of a Sheetz gas station on Monday.

Channel 11’s Courtney Brennan reported that officers then raided the suspects’ car in the parking lot. Police then went to the suspects’ South Sixth Street apartment.

Inside the home, detectives said they found about $190,000 worth of heroin, cocaine, $10,000 in cash and two guns.

Heather George, who lives next to the South Sixth Street apartment that was raided, said she wasn’t aware of any alleged illegal activity.

“It’s very quiet around here. We’ve never had any issues in eight years of living here,” George said. “I’m really shocked, honestly. They were new and haven’t lived here very long.”

Jackson and Poole are being held in jail with bond set at $250,000 each.
