MONROEVILLE, Pa. — A former Monroeville police chief could be back on the force sometime this week.
An arbitrator ruled Monroeville leaders violated former Police Chief Doug Cole’s contract when he was demoted “without cause.”
Cole was then fired after a disciplinary hearing, claiming he allowed emergency responders to violate the employee handbook.
If Cole does return to the department, he’s expected to serve as assistant chief.
