SOUTH STRABANE, Pa. — A funeral will be held Thursday for the man who was killed Sunday while trying to stop a bank robber from getting away.
Family members and friends will pay their last respects to 46-year-old Vincent Kelley at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Piatt Barnhill Funeral Home in Washington.
The robbery happened Sunday afternoon at the Citizen’s Bank in the Giant Eagle in South Strabane Township.
Kelley was shot when he tried to stop the robber from getting away.
The robber, who has yet to be caught, drove from the scene in a white four-door sedan. He was wearing a straw hat and carrying an umbrella.
Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact police.
