McKeesport apartment totally lost in fire

MCKEESPORT, Pa. — A fire tore through an apartment in McKeesport Tuesday.

Allegheny County dispatchers said crews were called to the 400 block of 29th Street at 8:08 p.m.

Video from the scene shows smoke billowing from the top floor of two houses.

Dispatchers said there are no reported injuries at this time.

Our crew at the scene learned that two people who lived in the apartment were able to get out.

“Just before the holidays, I lost everything. Everything I built, everything I put in there was brand new, so I don’t know,” homeowner Vinetto Cobbs said.

The fire chief said the home was a total loss.
