Heroin, $120K confiscated during search of Somerset motel room

SOMERSET, Pa. — Authorities confiscated 115 packets of heroin and more than $100,000 in cash during a drug bust at a Somerset hotel late Thursday night.

According to police, detectives received information that drug activity was taking place at the Knights Inn motel in Somerset. A search warrant was then obtained and executed around 10:30 p.m.

A search of the room revealed 115 packets of heroin, $120,000 in U.S. currency and drug paraphernalia, police said.

De’Von Berkley, of Pittsburgh, was arrested and faces several charges. He was arraigned Thursday night before Judge Kenneth Johnson.
