Hines Ward interviews for Texans head coach spot

The Houston Texans have interviewed retired Steeler Hines Ward for their head coach job, the team announced on Saturday.

Joe Lombardi, current offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers was also interviewed for the position.

The Texans parted ways with former head coach David Culley on Thursday.

Ward is currently the wide receivers coach at Florida Atlantic after working as an offensive assistant for the New York Jets. He retired from the NFL in 2011.
