PITTSBURGH — Homicide detectives are actively investigating a shooting in Pittsburgh’s Hazelwood neighborhood.
According to police, the shooting happened inside a home on Ampere Street.

Pittsburgh Police PIO Sonya Toler told Channel 11 News that they believe the victim was shot in the kitchen of a home, tried running to the front door and collapsed.
Family members tell Channel 11 News the victim was 52-year-old James Paige.
"Jimmy would give you anything, anything,” his sister told Channel 11 News. ”He had children. He had sisters. Jimmy was a good guy."
Investigators are urging anyone who may have seen something to contact police.
