Channel 11's Courtney Brennan has learned that it appears the homeowners were on vacation, and no one was supposed to be at the house.

High winds fueled the flames and officials believe the house was destroyed.

“We took a defensive attack from the outside. Obviously we didn’t send anybody in because it was fully involved and we had multiple propane tanks that were exploding. The car tires were going off, too,” said South Beaver Fire Chief Keith Girting.

A few firefighters suffered heat exhaustion. The temperature was in the 90s while this firefight was ongoing.
