Missing Jackson Township man found at Allegheny General Hospital

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Channel 11's Amy Marcinkiewicz reported Thursday that a missing 81-year-old former Marine was found at Allegheny General Hospital.

Marcinkiewicz first reported he was missing Wednesday night.

Bob Piroth walked out of his Jackson Township home on Russell Road Monday afternoon.  He told his family he would be right back, but he didn't come back, his daughter, Renee Piroth, told Channel 11.

Minutes after the story aired on Channel 11, Renee Piroth got a phone call.  Police said her dad was at AGH.

Bob Piroth was badly injured in an accident, and his vehicle was damaged.

Police said Bob Piroth didn't initially talk at AGH and didn't have identification.

Bob Piroth will be in the hospital for a few more days.

Marcinkiewicz said his family texted her, saying he remembers the accident and the car that allegedly hit him and took off.
