Jury selection continues in deadly home invasion trial

BEAVER COUNTY, Pa. — Jury selection will continue Monday in the trial of two men accused in a deadly home invasion in Beaver County.

Joseph Arlott and Beau Chermer are facing several charges, including homicide, assault and robbery.

Authorities said 81-year-old Dan Santia died several weeks after he was found tied up in his basement in 2012.

Police said the suspects sprayed something in Santia’s eyes, pushed him down the stairs and beat him with a baseball bat.

If convicted, Arlott and Chermer could face the death penalty.
